Roundware:Rockland is a location-based “augmented reality” installation that invites you to experience downtown Rockland, Maine by listening to the voices of those who have come before you. As you wander the streets, you’ll hear both oral histories from longtime residents and stories left behind by previous participants, all underscored by a musical composition that changes based on where you are standing. Wearing headphones is strongly encouraged!
Launching at the Camden International Film Festival and continuing throughout the year, Roundware:Rockland is a partnership with Steel House, Center for Maine Contemporary Art, and Stories to Tell.
